IN OTHER PEOPLE'S SHOES Productions

tells imaginative, impactful and artistic stories for young people and families from all walks of life.

Launched in 2021, our goal is to lift up and highlight stories of diverse communities so that all children are able to experience the richness of not only their own culture but of cultures different from their own. We envision a world where every member of our community is safe from racism and discrimination and has equitable opportunities to thrive.

In addition to The Wondrous Adventures of Pia Sandia, we are working with June Carryl on (In)Visible Me, a play for teens that we commissioned as part of the TYA BIPOC Super Hero Project, and we're also beginning to work on a new musical song cycle specifically for elementary aged children. Later this year we'll be launching a stand-alone arts education program for teachers and students called "Standing in A Character's Shoes: Deeper Meaning through Monologues".

We are committed to including young people's voices in our development process, and to sharing our progress along the way. Today's event is the first of what we hope are many public sharings of our work to date - we thank you for being a part of it!

We hope that all of the stories we're developing will one day be presented as fully produced productions, but we know we'll need more support and partners in order to make that happen!
